| AMD überarbeitet Phenom X4 und X3: Lange Zeit hat ein Fehler im TLB ("Translation Lookaside Buffer") der "K10" CPUs AMD das Leben schwer gemacht. Um eine Datenverfälschung unter Last zu vermeiden, musste der TLB deaktiviert werden, was zu Performance-Einbussen von gut 10% geführt hat. Im aktuellen Stepping (B3, die Prozessorkennung endet jeweils auf "xx50") ist der Fehler nun behoben, und die Prozessorkerne können endlich so wie ursprünglich entworfen ans Werk gehen. Die neuen QuadCore Phenom "X4" Prozessoren gibt es mit 2.2 bis 2.5 GHz, 2MB L3 Cache und Unterstützung von HyperTransport 3.0. Die Dreikern-Phenoms "X3" (2.1 bis 2.4 GHz) entsprechen den X4 Modellen, nur ist bei ihnen ein Kern komplett deaktiviert (X4 CPU mit Produktionsfehler).

| AMD fixes Phenom X4 and X3: For quite some time a bug in the TLB ("Translation Lookaside Buffer") has plagued AMDs "K10" CPUs; under heavy load data could get corrupted, so AMD had to deactivate the TLB, at the cost of at least 10% less performance. In the latest stepping (B3, CPU name is ending with "xx50") this bug has been fixed, and the new Phenom processors can finally work the way the've been originally designed. The new QuadCore Phenom "X4" CPUs are available at 2.2 to 2.5 GHz, they feature 2MB of L3 cache and support HyperTransport 3.0. The TripleCore Phenoms "X3" (2.1 to 2.4 GHz) are more or less identical to the X4 models, with the difference that one core has been completely deactivated (due to manufacturing failures).
