(Apple (englisch))
"One more thing" - Safari, Apples Webbrowser, gibt es in Version 3 neben Mac OS X auch für Windows XP/Vista. (public beta (englisch))
(iPhone (englisch))

News from WWDC: At the World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco, Steve Jobs demoed ten of the 300+ new features of the next release of Mac OS X, 10.5 "Leopard". There's a new desktop (1) and a new Finder (2), which now also integrates Cover Flow, known from iTunes, to browse all kinds of documents (PDF, Keynote, ...). QuickLook (3) is the new viewer, allowing to open documents without launching the corresponding application (plug-in architecture). OS X 10.5 is completly 64bit ready (4), while still supporting the 32bit architectures (native). Next to the already available system components Core Audio, Core Graphics and Core Video there's a new component coming: Core Animation (5). Leopard features a built-in version of Boot Camp (6) (installation and dual boot between OS X and Windows -- on Intel Macs). Virtual desktops can be organized and used with Spaces (7). Dashboard (8), introduced with OS X 10.4 "Tiger", has been improved. "iChat Theater" (9) allows you to share many kinds of documents (Keynote presentations, videos, ...) during your video conference. Timemachine (10) is a built-in backup solution with an animated user interface. (Apple)

(Apple)
MacBook Pro updated: Apples Pro laptops get a small clock speed boost (2.2 instead of 2.16 and 2.4 instead of 2.33 GHz), related to the new Intel "Santa Rosa" mobile platform, which -- among other things -- raises the front side bus clock speed from 667 to 800 MHz. Both processor cores still share 4MB L2 cache. All MacBook Pro models come with 2GB memory preinstalled (max. 4GB), the Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor gets 128 or 256MB GDDR3-SDRAM. The 15" machines get quicksilver-free, LED-backlit displays, optional with glossy surface. The screen of the 17" model doesn't get LED backlighting (and still contains quicksilver), it's optionally available with glossy surface, and for a price upgrade of US$/EUR +100 it comes with higher resolution (1920x1200 instead of 1680x1050). All other technical specifications remain unchanged compared to the previous MacBook Pros. (Apple)
