AMD Athlon XP Mobile bei 1.5 GHz: Seit April verbaut AMD in seinen mobilen Athlons den "Thoroughbred" Kern. Dieser hat nun eine Taktrate von 1.5 GHz erreicht und wird in 1000er Stückzahlen zum Preis von je 335 US$ abgegeben. AMD vermarktet den Chip als "Athlon XP Mobile 1800+" -- dieser QuantiSpeed soll andeuten, dass der Prozessor in etwa die Leistung eines 1.8 GHz schnellen Pentium 4 erreicht. Intel bietet den Pentium 4 Mobile derzeit mit bis zu 2.0 GHz an. (AMD)

More processor upgrades: PowerLogix has added two more clock speeds to their PowerMac G4 CPU upgrades.
